A public meeting was held on 11 March 2009 to discuss potential new nuclear build at Hartlepool.

EDF Energy, which now incorporates British Energy, has nominated land next to the existing Hartlepool power station as part of the Government's site assessment process.
A presentation was given to Hartlepool Borough Council on 3 June 2008 about potential new build surrounding the Hartlepool site. The presentation slides are available below:
